What Clients Are Saying

Positive People Impact

I've always appreciated Brandis, but I think my quote is that she's been "extra stellar." From navigating awkward engagement survey comments, trying to retain staff, budget planning
help, staff comp convos....and the list goes on), and Brandis has been such a great thought
partner. A number of these things were very sensitive in nature and I didn't necessarily have
someone at the site I could partner with on it, so knowing I have this extra teammate has been
amazing. Oh yeah, and I trust her and she gives great advice.
So overall, put me in the Brandis fan club (maybe even President)!

Executive Director - Kansas City AmeriCorps non-profit organization

One of the biggest gaps I have worried about in my development as an HR professional is my lack of
access to mentors. I worried that being "alone" at my organization would make me miss opportunities to observe
the work from someone with more experience. I am so grateful to have been a part of that conversation and hear/observe the coaching and
feedback you shared with us. It was an opportunity for me to observe an HR professional working
through a difficult problem.  I am
reassured of the fact that I am not being thrown into difficult problems alone.

Director of People & Operations - Detroit area non-profit organization

You are an amazing support to your clients. Your partners benefit greatly from your strategic approach that seems to prioritize having a deep and holistic view of each of your partnerships. I wanted to go on record as saying you exceed and excel. I learn from you every time we get to connect and I am grateful for the support.

I wanted to thank you again for for navigating us through our engagement survey results. Your delivery is done with
care for the team and your guidance allows for true reflection, growth, and opportunity.

SVP, People Operations - AmeriCorps national non-profit organization

Our Executive Director wanted to share how amazing you were to work with in Providence. She talked about how you came in and jumped right into what they needed. She
spoke about how much she really values your perspective and especially because you could pull examples for the work they needed done from other organizations and experiences - your ability to find pattern recognition in the work - which helped them quickly but also really showed them that they are not alone was invaluable. Your
calming presence and clear path forward for them was everything.

VP, People Experience & Culture - national AmeriCorps non-profit organization

Thank you so much for your time! I was feeling really burnt out, but after our meeting feel like I have some action items to improve my relationships with my clients AND create a better work/life balance for myself! I’m grateful to you for sharing some of your expertise with me and am planning to talk to my boss about having you connect with the other members of our team who aren’t already signed up for sessions. Thanks for creating a safe space to share my frustrations and struggles. Our coaching session was exactly what I needed! Please feel free to use this on your website if you want to add another testimony to how fantastic you are!

How I Help

Headshot 1_edited.jpg

Some leaders have the strategy and the data. Where they lose momentum is the gap between knowing what to do and getting people to move with them. That gap is exactly where I do my best work for you.

Early in my career, I was coaching a brilliant SVP whose eyes were fixed on the profit and loss report every single month. Wall after wall kept appearing. The team wasn't bought in, the organization wasn't moving, and the numbers reflected it. In one pivotal session, I recognized what was missing: this leader had never been given permission to see people leadership as a driver of real, measurable outcomes. Together, we reframed it. Creating space for a team to show up authentically was the very thing that would move the needle on the metrics they already cared about. Seeing the positive impact of that reframe on people across an organization led me to found Modus People Consulting in 2020.

I believe healthy people build healthy organizations. When I work with a leadership team or an individual leader, I pay attention to what the organizational chart cannot show: the weight people are carrying, the dynamics going unspoken, and the places where wellbeing and performance are quietly pulling against each other. When leaders feel seen and supported, their teams feel it too.

That same commitment to people shapes how I think about AI in the workplace. The most important question leaders can ask is how responsibly they can integrate it in ways that protect and empower their people. I hold a Certificate in AI and Machine Learning for Business and Society from MIT, and I work alongside leaders to ensure AI adoption centers equity, transparency, and human dignity.

I bring more than sixteen years of experience across nonprofit and for-profit organizations, having served as a corporate recruiter, HR Business Partner, and HR Vice President. My credentials include SHRM-CP Certification, Strategic Human Resources Leadership Certification from Cornell University, Mental Health First Aid Responder certification, and Compassion Fatigue Educator Certification from the Traumatology Institute. I am a member of the Detroit Chapter of SHRM and a proud graduate of the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.

Whether I am partnering with a senior leadership team, coaching an individual leader, or guiding an organization through ethical AI adoption, my goal is always the same: to help you build something that actually works for the humans inside it.
